Prapela's Win at SXSW to Help Opioid-Exposed Newborns
AUSTIN, TX - Mar. 8, 2019 - Prapela was selected as a winner in the SW Pediatric Device Consortium (SWPDC) program sponsored by Impact Pediatric Health (IPH) at SXSW. The $25,000 award will be used to help accelerate Prapela's efforts using its SVS technology to improve the clinical course of opioid-exposed newborns. With 100 company applications, Prapela was selected as one of 12 finalists and one of the 4 award winners. Eight top ranked Children's hospitals presented and participated in the judging including: Texas Children's, Boston Children's, Cincinnati Children's, Seattle Children's, Lucille Packard Children's hospitals along with the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, Children's Healthcare of Atlanta and Children's Hospital of Los Angeles.
